Aamir Khan’s much talked about show ‘Satyamev Jayate’ is into its third episode on Sunday, May 20. A short and crisp promo showed the host talking about the passion of Indians.

The chat show, whose earlier two episodes dealt with social issues like female infanticide and child abuse, has marked a milestone with 90 million viewer ship, highest ever for any Indian TV Show.

Most people dream of a lavish wedding but the reality in India is that expensive wedding celebrations and heavy dowry demands end up making brides’ lives miserable and ruining their families. The very concept of marriage has been turned into a transaction, with no value placed on the people or the relationship. But this can change, and it is up to girls and their families to say NO to dowry, to insist on simple ceremonies and restore the sanctity of the wedding bond.

The first episode of the first season was based on female foeticide in India and the show urged theGovernment of Rajasthan to take action against the people who were shown in the programme through sting operation and also to take actions to stop illegal practice of female foeticide. Child sexual abuse in India was the theme of its second episode in the season. Dowry- The impact and effects of "dowry system in India" was the theme of its third episode in the season.
